Bean Farming E-Learning
Virtual bean cultivation training has been created for people to become fully acquainted with bean cultivation. Bean with the scientific name of Vicia faba is a plant from the legume family. The annual bean plant has a smooth, vertical and firm stem without ivy. This crop grows well in the cool climates of the winter and spring months of the tropics and responds to moderate rainfall (or irrigation).
Planting beans:
Beans are planted in rows. It is planted in rows that are 50 to 70 cm apart. The distance between the two plants is 10 to 15 cm. The seeds are planted at a depth of 5 to 8 cm. It is cultivated in cold regions in spring, but in tropical regions such as Khuzestan, it is cultivated in autumn and winter. The time required for planting and harvesting is about 120 to 150 days.
Beans should not be rotated after any other beans, but they are very well adapted before or after cereals. Such rotation helps control nematodes and diseases and reduces weeds. Provides nitrogen for next grain cultivation.
