Composting Worker E-Learning

Virtual training of compost production users has been created for people to become fully acquainted with the compost production user. Compost is a fertilizer made from the recycling of organic matter (waste products leftover from plants and animals) that is done under specific conditions and in a variety of ways. This is probably the oldest recycling method. Organic matter in the compost used for compost is agricultural waste, food and waste that is converted to rich black soil through aerobic and anaerobic decomposition.

The compost contains a mixture of materials such as animal manure, soil, plant wastes such as straw and very chopped twigs, and kitchen waste, including fruit skins, inedible fruits, vegetable waste, edible residues, shredded eggshells, and sawdust. Is used. However, substances that attract pests should also be used, as well as the foliage of conifers (conifers) due to less acidification of the mass.

How is a compost produced?
At the simplest level, the composting process requires the formation of a stack of moist organic matter (also called green waste) such as leaves, grass, and food waste, and waiting for the material to decompose after several months. However, this process can be done as a multi-step process by monitoring the inputs of water, air and carbon and nitrogen-rich materials. The decomposition process helps speed up the process by crushing the plant material, adding water and ensuring proper aeration by rotating the mixture regularly when using open piles.

Advantages of compost fertilizer:

  • Reduce water needs (especially in agriculture)
  • Reducing environmental pollution and helping the environment due to the use of waste in compost production
  • Soil alluvial
  • Compost fertilizer is a natural pesticide
  • Reduce agricultural costs
