Organic Chemistry Virtual Learning: Organic chemistry is a subset of the science of chemistry that talks about carbon compounds or organic matter. The main element that makes up organic compounds with carbon is hydrogen. In the past, substances of plant or animal origin were called organic matter. But today, organic matter can be synthesized through industrial and laboratory methods and with the help of minerals. In Persian cultures, the meaning of the word “organic” is attributed to the instrument and any creature that has different instruments (members) is ready. Aliphatic compounds are also the name of a branch of organic chemical compounds.
Metals such as magnesium, copper and palladium are also present in some organic compounds. Alcohols, ethers, hydrocarbons, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids, cyclic aliphatic compounds, aromatic compounds (such as benzene), amines, phenols, macromolecules and polymers (polymers) and their constituent organic substances have been given.
Today, organic materials and knowledge of organic chemistry are used in paint, paper and ink, food, clothing, petrochemicals, plastics and rubber, pharmaceuticals, medicine and dozens of other industries. There are more than 20 million known carbon compounds, and every year half a million new molecules are added to the family of organic matter. Organic chemistry is the foundation of biology and medicine.
The structure of living organisms other than water is mainly made of organic matter, the molecules discussed in molecular biology are the same as organic molecules. Today we live in a carbon era, with daily newspapers and magazines turning our minds to carbon compounds such as cholesterol, unsaturated fats, hormones, steroids, insecticides and pheromones.
