In the Dehkhoda dictionary, politics means protection and maintenance, protection, ruling over the subjects, presidency and arbitration.
Politics, whether as a science of power or a way of governing the affairs of state and society, is first and foremost knowledge. Which seeks to recognize the vague and dark corners of the human mind, psyche, behavior and intentions in continuous interaction with society and government. How a man thinks, decides, obeys in his individual and collective life, leads to rebellion and violence. He lies, he oppresses, he loves, he does good deeds, he pursues truth and righteousness. It is all a series of matters that require psychological, sociological, anthropological, discourse, and the like.

Political psychology can be simply defined as the study of the interaction between politics and psychology, and in particular the impact of psychology on politics. Political psychology is in fact an interdisciplinary science that is as much influenced by political science as it is related to psychology. Political psychology is the way in which psychological and political phenomena interact in a particular person or group at a particular time, place, system, and political culture.
